🌿 In Loving Memory of Julia Clifford – Give Water, Give Freedom 💧

Julia was an incredible woman who dedicated over 30 years of service to the Houses of Parliament, working in the Members' Chamber and serving MPs and Prime Ministers with unwavering dedication. Her kindness, hard work, and selflessness left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her. In recognition of her incredible service, the Members' Tea Room was renamed Julia’s Tea Room, and a plaque now stands in her honour—a true testament to a woman who was simply herself every day and loved by all. Julia’s life was sadly cut short after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Though she won that fight, she later contracted COVID-19 and, despite her immense strength and determination, was unable to overcome it. She was a pillar of her family, a friend to many, and she will forever be missed. To honour her incredible legacy of kindness and service, we are raising funds to build a solar-powered water well in her memory. The Freedom Development Foundation (FDF) is a non-profit organisation committed to providing sustainable solutions to underprivileged communities, focusing on essential needs such as clean water, food, education, and job training. Solar-Powered Water Wells Location: The Gambia and Tanzania. Purpose: To increase access to safe drinking water and basic sanitation, thereby reducing water-borne diseases, particularly among children. Each borehole serves approximately 1,000 people within a village, significantly improving their quality of life.
